Zaha Hadid, the Iraqi-born British architect who designed modernist, futuristic buildings acclaimed around the world, died suddenly in a Miami hospital Thursday. She was 65. Her death was reported by British publications, such as The Guardian and the BBC , and confirmed by Hadid's firm, according to the Associated Press. The firm said she suffered a heart attack while being treated for bronchitis. Boris Johnson, the mayor of London, was among the first to tweet condolences.
